Objective:

To design a book cover that is both sophisticated and intriguing for the target audience.

Background:

"Shake, Sip, and Savor" is a vibrant, visually rich cocktail recipe book series that celebrates the art of mixology through a fresh and thematic lens. Designed to entice both the eye and the palate, "Shake, Sip, and Savor" is more than a recipe collection—it's a sensory journey through color, texture, and taste, crafted to inspire connection and creativity in every pour.

Target Audience:

Individuals who have a strong interest in mixology, culinary arts, and luxury lifestyle. This book is likely positioned as both a practical guide and an elegant coffee table book, appealing to those who value high-quality, refined experiences when it comes to food and drink.

Design Process:

The idea for Shake, Sip, and Savor emerged from my interest in creating a multi-sensory, thematic exploration of cocktails—one that appeals as much to the eyes and hands as it does to the palate. From the beginning, I envisioned a series, with each issue exploring a unique facet or mood of cocktail culture (e.g., tropical flavors, smoky classics, seasonal infusions). I set out to design a book with a clean and aesthetic feel, and with modern but timeless typography. I wanted it to be sophisticated, but not sterile—inviting curiosity and evoking mood.

The final design solution, along with the core visual system I developed—typography, color palette, and layout principles—lays the groundwork for future issues in the Shake, Sip, and Savor series. Each upcoming edition will explore a new thematic direction while maintaining a cohesive and seamless brand identity, allowing the series to evolve while remaining instantly recognizable.
